This review applies to any Pilot Vanishing Point pen. I did not buy my Vanishing Point from JetPens (I bought my first in the 90s before JetPens even existed) but I would feel confident buying from them. This is the most reliable fountain pen I have every owned. You will not regret it. I can leave it unused for months, and the flow starts right up the minute I click it open. It is not a delicate flower of a pen that you are constantly having to baby and clean. It does not leak. And, come on! What a flex! In a meeting, not having to monkey with a cap, just click and start writing. It writes as smooth as silk. I have owned almost every brand of pen out there, and this is my favorite. In fact, I am almost talking myself into buying another one right now.

If you are a fountain person fanatic, I think this pen is a must try. It's unlike any other pen you have.

If you would like to test the waters on a fountain pen, this pen is also a good choice as it is low maintenance. I always use a cartridge with mine - I have other pens that I use bottle ink with, but this one performs so well with its brand name cartridges that I see no reason to switch.

I have a medium nib. Even though the nib is not as prominent as most pens, you can still get the variety and flexibility of lines and strokes that you expect with a gold nib. Like any gold nib, it will adapt to your style as you use it.

Awesome pen, has a good heft but not overly heavy. Great balance. Very smooth but provides some feedback with rougher paper. Incredibly satisfying to click open and closed. I wish the con-40 converter would fill better, I struggle to get the converter filled more than a third of the way full.

Absolutely wonderful pen. Love its writing characteristics as well as functionality. My new everyday carry.
