Admittedly, part of my enjoyment of this pen is that it merges my love of fountain pens with my love of highlighters. I figured it was worth a try, despite a dearth of online reviews.

I don't overdo it with highlighting ("You've highlighted the entire page, virtually!" kind of thing is not my style). However, I have appreciated several aspects to this highlighter.

Most notably, it's wide enough to capture most 12-point and smaller text sizes. Yet, it's also narrow enough to prevent highlighting from running over onto adjacent lines, bleeding, or going through ink unnecessarily (I haven't even finished the first cartridge yet). There's no unpleasant alcohol-ish odor. It does have to be held at a particular angle, but my hand and that angle have become familiar enough that use is simple. Would I enjoy it more if it didn't have to be re-capped every time to prevent it from drying up at the nib between uses? Yes. Would I want to spend the money on the design upgrade to make that a reality? Probably not. This is about as much as I wanted to spend on a highlighter. Am I satisfied? Yes.

I carry sets of pens with me to work. One that I always need, but is the one I use the least, is a high lighter. I have a Pelikan M205 highlighter, a BBB Montblanc 146, and a BB Vanishing Point. This Kaweco is the one that I enjoy the most, if for no other reason, than that is doesn't hard start. Whether it's been a day or a week, it always starts writing as soon as it hits the paper. Absolutely love it.

I don’t really write reviews, but I’d like to chime in on this one. The tin the pen comes in is nice and the inks and plastics are all super vibrant colors. It really does look like it’s glowing. It was easy to snap in the cartridge, and it looks like you could fill the body with an eye dropper too and use the pen that way if you don’t want to buy the converter (I have not tried this though). The pen itself is very solidly built but feels very light.

I see lots of other reviewers saying it’s very hard to get it to write, some saying that it was an issue with the nib. This is my first time using a wide nib like this, and I also had a really hard time figuring out how to get it to write, which is why I looked at the reviews to see it anyone else had the same trouble. I think it might be a skill issue. The pen works every time when held perfectly vertically. No skipping, just nice fat lines with a really even coat. However, if you hold the pen even slightly askew, it won’t write at all. My TWSBI and LAMY pens work with no fuss, but those aren’t italic nibs, they’re F/EF. The habit of holding the pen however you want as long as it’s angled won’t work here. You need to be very strict with your grip with this pen.

If you can deal with that, it’s a nice kit. I find it kind of annoying to use though.

I have used this highlighter for several weeks now. I like the ink color and use it over my fountain pen, ball point pen and copied papers ink. Sometimes the angle of hold is a bit sensitive, but I am getting used to it (this is not my first fountain pen).

I really like the ink color and the ease of using the cartridge refills. The Sport Glow Highlighter fits the correct spot between excellent product and reasonable cost. I have not ordered the clip yet, and am not sure that I will. It just seems at home in my pocket or on my desk.

What is not to love with this highlighter? I cannot think of anything.

I love this highlighter!!!! I would love more colors, and purchased a 1.9 Double Broad, hoping it would be like this one, but it was not. That's ok. Kaweco makes a great pen and I think they're fun to use. No skipping, a smooth lay down of ink. Love the highlighter yellow!

Won't mark. Flushed. Flushed again. Touching to a tissue indicates that there is some flow, It will sometimes mark for about an inch with nib upside down. I like Kaweco pens, but this is the third one I've gotten that has a crappy nib. Disappointing.

I LOVE the idea of it, but it doesn't work well. This is actually my first Kaweco so I don't know if it's the nib or the ink, but it's not an enjoyable experience :/

Does not work effectively. The pen works intermittently. Not a pleasant experience.

Still having difficulty getting a constant ink flow.
