Okay, don't put shimmer...

Okay, don't put shimmer ink in this. That being said, this is the easiest pen to fill that I have ever owned. The italic nub writes so smoothly. 10/10 would repurchase, just to have another.

This is the best pen...

This is the best pen at this price point! The Stub nib writes with a smooth slide on most all papers we have tried - the plunger ink filling process is fun to use and not too messy. The ink well is a bit small however that just means we get to change out new ink colors which is fun to us. I really can not say enough good things about this pen we have bought 3 so far and I do see us buying more soon.

TWSBI GO is a revolutionary...

TWSBI GO is a revolutionary fountain pen design, from the remarkable ink fill concept to the perfection of the feed and ink flow. ESPECIALLY for the price point. Even though the TWSBI nibs are as perfect as the overall barrel design, it is extremely easy to experiment with other nibs. I have several TWSBI GOs, one of them has a flex nib I put on it, and the pen performs amazingly well, never skips or railroads, seems to write immediately no matter how long the pen might lay inactive.

Amazing, for the price....

Amazing, for the price. I like to hold my pen with a bit of a different angle, so the triangle grip isn't optimal for me. But these are an incredible value if that doesn't bother you. Personally, I upgraded to the Eco. But I don't regret the purchase at all.

I bought this in a 1.1mm stub nib. Since then, I've switched over to an extra-fine or fine nib, because the 1.1mm stub needs a larger-scale letter than I can comfortably fit on lined paper.

When I'm writing at a larger scale than normal lined paper, then I find that I don't like the oval shape of the stub nib as much as I like an italic nib (which is shaped more like a line). An italic nib gives crisper thin & thick lines, which I like much more. So I've switched over to a calligraphy pen for that (the one I'm using isn't found on JetPens, so I won't mention it here).

So yeah, nib size is a product of the x-height of your characters, among other things. There's a lot of preference going on there. It was great to get to try a 1.1mm stub nib for such a low price!

This product exceeded all expectations! This is my first piston filled pen, and I also am a big fam of stub nibs. It is great to see your ink inside and it has such nice flow. I thought it would go up all the way to the end of the spring, but it actually fills a reservoir between the spring and nib section. Still cool!

I like this pen--it is...

I like this pen--it is one of the few that can handle shimmer inks; Emerald of Chivor is the only shimmer that I've tried in it so far. It looks a little ugly, though, and grip is not very comfortable for me. But the nib is wonderful, and so I keep using it.
However, given the way that TWSBI has forced retailers to choose between them and Moonman/Majohn, this will be the last TWSBI that I purchase. I bought 3 nice Moonman pens from JetPens, and none of them are similar to TWSBIs in any way. I think it is unfair that TWSBI gave retailers and ultimatum. I hope they change their minds. Most pen aficionados buy many pens, and there is plenty of love to go around.

I absolutely love TWSBI GO Clear fountain pen and the ease of loading the ink. I was so impressed with the GO pen I sent several emails to Philip Wang of TWSBI. I just wish instructions on how to fill the fountain pen with ink had accompanied the GO fountain pen. I am curious about the instructions on when and how to maintain and clean the fountain pen, none were included. I also would like to know how you can identify the nib size of the GO fountain pen. This is an extradentary fountain pen. I will be recommending this fountain pen to friends and family. I am sure I will be ordering additional quantities and sizes of this pen.

I got this as a cheap way to try a stub nib but I love using it. The filling mechanism is so easy to use and looks great inside the clear barrel. The grip section is comfortable even without any padding.
