Love the idea of this sampler!! Looking for pen to replace the discontinued
Sharpie Fine point pen. I have not tried all of the pens yet nor have not
tested any for water proof qualities. Giving four stars because one broke after
a few days of using it. All the others work great, they just aren't quite what
I am looking for, but not factoring that into the stars rating.
Looking for the following: smooth flow, smudge proof, won't bleed through paper,
able to use highlighter while keeping the ink clear (this seems to be the most
challenging bar), light weight feel, a thinner barrel and is able to write over
correction tape, gently, of course.
Rushion Petite, water based. I used this one for a few days and was liking it.
Then the pen broke. The point of the pen simply fell off the body of the pen,
showing a thin cord that had snapped off. Was disappointed, but VERY relieved,
this malfunction did not end with ink staining my work or clothes. Best barrel
size, but the pen doesn't work, so, not helpful.
Sarasa paros pen, good with correction tape, but terrible with highlighting,
even after ink dried for a bit, 15 minutes or more. Smooth flow, but barrel a
little thick, which makes the pen feel heavy after hours or writing. Tip is
longer than I would expect.
Staedftler Triplus Fineliner, barrel is not round and too thick, for my liking.
Ink smudges and no good with highlighting.
LePen, nice thin barrel and writes smoothly. Very fine tip. Best with
highlighting out of the ones discussed here. I would maybe buy this one again,
since the sharpie is not available.
Pigma Micron 02, archival ink. I love that this is archival ink. Shockingly
fine point, .30 mm fine. Does not smudge, but highlighting immediately is not
the best, but not bad, much better after a few minutes. Ok with correction
tape. Barrel is a little thick, but could get used it. Would most likely buy
this one.
Looking forward to trying the others!
