Life is a jungle, and the LAMY safari is here to guide you through it one pen stroke at a time. With its remarkable build quality and a design that feels as fresh and modern as it did when it was first released in the early '80s, there's room for a safari in every pen cup.

Features:

Steel left-handed nib with a slightly oblique tip, designed for the angle used by many left-handed writers. It creates a similar line to a medium LAMY nib.
Ergonomically shaped grip section.
Ink window in the barrel.
Easy ink installation—simply put the cartridge inside the barrel or grip section, then screw the barrel and grip section together to automatically puncture the cartridge.
Sturdy ABS plastic construction.
Large, flexible metal pocket clip.
One blue ink cartridge.

Notes:

To prevent the ink cartridge from being punctured in transit, this pen comes with a cardboard spacer ring between the barrel and grip section. The ring must be removed before using the pen.
This pen may come with ink residue in the nib from being dip tested by LAMY at the factory. As with all new fountain pens, JetPens recommends giving your pen a good cleaning before you use it.

The difference that makes...

The difference that makes it "left handed" seems to be the nib, not the grip. At least I could not see that the grip varied between the Lamy M I have, and the LH I got for my Lefty husband. I am right handed and could write with it just fine, but my husband can only write with Lamy fountain pens if they're the LH nib. The pen performs well and he likes the bright red body.

Bought this as a gift for a left-handed relative having some hand issues; I've always liked the Lamy Safari myself, and I thought the molded grip, left-handed nib, and light weight would be a good combo.

Well, it was a fantastic combo; it's been getting rave reviews, and apparently works quite nicely for all those purposes. So I'd especially recommend this combo for anyone left-handed who needs a lightweight pen, is new to fountain pens, has some grip issues, or just likes the ease of use. It's a great combo and I really appreciate being able to get a left-handed nib already in place, without needing to change nibs out or do any custom adjustments myself.
