Nice basic fountain pen. I replaced the cartridge with a converter. Not sure
that the left-handed pen is different in terms of my use; I can write using this
pen with my right hand and it appears to work well.
This was my first Lamy and first fountain pen. I went with the left model as I
am a left. I like the pen and its performance and a fountain pen. I had some
issues using it in the standard lefty grip, if that is even a thing, and have
mostly been using it in the upside down position. That position works great on
most types of paper. If I am using a nicer paper I can use it in the properly
designed position and not worry about feathering or putting down too much ink
and smearing.
I initially found fountain pens when I was gifted a pair of them. I believe they
we $15 total, and I only threw them away because I didn't know about converters.
This LAMY pen has the exact same feeling as them, except being 4x the price. I'd
even argue the cheaper ones were of better quality, and I was extremely
disappointed.
